Who are they?
Pointers In Need is a UK-based Pointer rescue organisation who rescues and rehomes (English) Pointers. It primarily concentrates on rescuing, rehabilitiating and rehoming Pointers which are often an overlooked breed.
It also supports the rescue and rehoming of Pointers from overseas. The Team are all volunteers who give their time freely and are passionate about the breed and rescue.
What do they do?
The organisations approach is simple: “if we can, we will help.”
Pointers In Need strive to create a better life for unwanted or abandoned pointers. Their work is especially highlighted just after hunting season has commenced during which many pointers are surrendered.
They have a team of specially trained foster carers who provide love and shelter to these beautiful dogs until they are placed in their forever home. Each and every potential family are vetted and homes are checked to ensure their pointer will be cared for to the highest of stanards.
As well as operating in UK, The pointers in need team work in Europe to save innocent pooches from the streets. Volunteers work round the clock to rescue and ensure the safe arrival of these abandoned dogs into the uk.
